First Aid Kit?

The source for the kit contents was long-time EMT and former Paramedic, Dick Oder.  March of 1997, an article that Dick wrote for Wing World®  magazine GWRRA (page 15) described what he believed should be contained in everyone's properly stocked First Aid kit, and why.  Since safety-minded folks often get to discussing this topic, I thought I'd print a list of the items that Dick suggested.   For the full article, see Wing World®.

CPR pocket mask (with one-way valve)
Trauma shears (to cut clothes as needed to visualize the injury)
Triangular bandages (at least three, serve multiple purposes)
Cold pack compress (inexpensive chemically activated cold pack)
Trauma dressings (four, at least 4x4" or larger)
Kling® (sticks to itself, good for securing pressure dressings)
Medical tape (in 1" or 2" rolls)
Water (to cool a burn or flush an eye, preferably in a spray bottle)
